5 UK Festivals You Have to Go to This Summer

If there’s one thing to add to your Summer bucket list, it’s a UK music festival, and it means us girls have a good excuse to rock some killer outfits and sprinkle a bit of glitter on. With Glastonbury taking a year off, we thought we’d list some alternative UK festivals to prevent any serious FOMO:

Parklife Festival

Where: Heaton Park, Manchester

When: 9-10th June 2018

Price: Weekend ticket from £95

Based on the stomping grounds of Ego HQ, Parklife is Manchester’s biggest music festival. We’d definitely recommend you girls upgrading to VIP (sorry bank account) because they’ll be recreating the original MCR Sankeys bar and setting up a tent dedicated to disco music for all you glitter queens. Headliners include the OG Mancunian Liam Gallagher, N.E.R.D, Skepta and The XX. It’ll be a major party, so don’t miss out…

Lovebox Festival

Where: Gunnersbury Park, London

When: 13-14th July 2018

Price: Weekend ticket from £115

We’re slightly biased on this, but our favourite UK festival is Lovebox. And we’re not just saying this from all of the Insta pics, we went last year and LOVED it, you can catch up by checking out the Ego X Lovebox blog from last year. Expect a wide range of music from hip hop, RnB, pop, electronic to grime, meaning there’s something for everyone. When you’re not getting down to your fave jams, make sure you head over to the hip hop karaoke stage or maybe you’ll fancy a spot of disco crazy golf?! Headliners include Skepta, Childish Gambino and SZA.

Where: Lulworth Estate, Dorset

When: 2-5th August 2018

Price: Weekend ticket £175

The famous fancy dress festival is BACK with a new location and date. Moving from the awkwardly placed Isle of Wight, Bestival is now setting up camp in sunny Dorset and they’ve even changed their dates from September to August, meaning hopefully there’ll be some sun! This year’s theme is the most colourful show on earth, so make sure to slap the glitter on and get on those sequin jackets you’ve been waiting all year to wear. Headliners include M.I.A., London Grammar and SIlk City (Diplo & Mark Ronson).

RiZe Festival

RiZE Festival

Where: Hylands Park, Chelmsford

When: 17-18th August 2018

Price: Weekend tickets from £115

New to the UK festival scene is RiZE festival, taking over from V Festival on the same weekend and at the same location. If you’re a fan of chart music then this is the festival for you with acts ranging from Liam Gallagher, Bastille, Craig David and Rita Ora plus many more. Don’t forget to check out our festival shoes section so you’re prepared! #OOTD

South West Four

South West Four

Where: Clapham Common, London

When: 25-26th August 2018

Price: Weekend ticket from £107.50

For those who love a bit of dance music, South West Four is right up there with a stellar line up including Marshmello, DJ EZ, Galantis, Oliver Heldens plus loads more. With so many huge international DJ’s, you’ll want some serious dancing boots to last you the weekend.
