1. What is your role here at EGO?
Assistant Buyer
2. What does a typical day look like for you?
No day is ever the same. Most of my time is spent trend forecasting for up and coming seasons, developing new and existing styles, market research and sales analysis, so I can really get to know what the customer wants. I also work closely with the marketing and the blogger girls to make sure correct products are being pushed across the site and on social.
3. How did you get your role?
Fashion has always been the industry I have wanted to work in and I love being creative so buying is my dream role. I started my first job as a Buying Admin Assistant after graduating from a Fashion Buying and Merchandising Degree and gaining experience along the way. I have basically worked my way up from there.
4. Whats your favourite part of the job?
Being able to be creative and push boundaries each day, Working with a passionate team who all love the brand and also seeing developments go from an idea to selling on the website is really rewarding.
5. Whats been your best memory since starting the job?
I think its hard to pin point one best memory. Everyday is so different, so each day brings something new and rewarding
6. What are you looking forward to in the future?
Continuing to see Ego grow. It's so exciting being part of a company which is growing so fast. I can’t wait to see where we will be this time next year.

7. What trends are you predicting for SS17?

Its all about the ugly shoe, Were talking Sliders, Mules, Flatforms. All shoes that at one point were considered ugly are now bang on trend.

8. What do you think it take to be a good buyer?
A good eye. You need to be able to know what the customer wants before they want it, you need to be reactive and passionate. Its important to be constantly coming up with new ideas.

9. If you could give one piece of advice to someone with a interview for a fashion brand, what would it be?
Be passionate, unique and creative! Show them exactly who you are and what you can bring to the company.
10. If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose & why?
David Attenborough - Literally one of my favourite people ever!
Kate Moss- Hopefully some of her coolness would rub off on me.
David Beckham- For obvious reasons!
