What to Wear at a Festival | EGO

It's a common conversation topic in your group Whatsapp chat - what are you wearing? With festival fashion never ending, there's no excuse that you can't look flawless this Summer. From top to toe, we will give you the best styles that won't give you a fashion fail at this years festivals.

#1 The Indie Rock Vibe

If you've got a 'We'll stop wearing black when they make a darker colour' vibe then that's fine, you can still wear head to toe black and avoid looking like Wednesday Adams. We suggest going for a pair of round Sunnies, Biker Boots and ripped denim and tees for this. And go heavy on the accessories, it's an unwritten festival rule. Rings, anklets, bracelets, earrings and btw, you're festival wristband doesn't count.

#2 The Eccentric Hipster

If you've been scrolling through Insta looking at the likes of the Confetti Crowd, wishing that you had the guts to pull something colourful and eccentric off, then festivals are your chance to show off a little bit of your wild side. You can't go wrong with a multi-coloured crochet dress (think patchwork quilt) or a tie dye print for a show stopping outfit.

#3 Bohemian Babe

Think Vanessa Hudgens for this. Buy a paisley or aztec co ord (bralet and shorts we recommend) and maybe go for an oversized slouched cardigan if the weather isn't 100%.

#4 Wannabe Mermaids

Release your inner mermaid or unicorn. Go crazy on the glitter - like extra crazy. Remember those Art Attack episodes you watched as a kid? You can finally put them to use now.

#5 Animalistic

Leopard print, zebra and cow print (yup that's right) are an essential for a striking festival outfit. We're rating this cow dungaree suit from Rita Ora and this blogger's mismatch co ord. We're all over animal prints this season for a wild child vibe.

#6 Street Style

Put your runner shorts to good use and go for a street vibe. Team them up with a pair of Chunky trainers which will add some edge to your street inspired outfit .

#7 Western

Now, we're not expecting you to go all out like Jessie from Toy Story, but you can't really fail with a little bit of fail-proof fringing. Ripped denim and a fringed top or kimono is always a safe but sassy choice.

#8 Gypsy

If you're avoiding fringe, sequins and animal print like a common cold, then we suggest you try the gypsy style. This is anything from flowing midi dresses and off shoulder bardot crops. Don't be afraid to add a cute little braid in your hair either!

We hope you girls have an amazing time this festival season. Step out of your comfort zone. Invest in pieces that will really make heads turn. If you still want more inspo then you can check out our Instagram
