Top Travel Destinations For 2017 | EGO

We’re always dreaming of summer here at Ego HQ and we can’t wait to be lounging by a pool  sippin’ on cocktails. Until then, here’s 5 places we’re dreaming of going…

Packed full of gorgeous lakes & mountains; Canada is somewhere we’ve been dreaming of visiting for sometime. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation; meaning there’ll be parties galore. Not only do they have some beautiful scenery; they’ve also got a pretty dreamy Prime Minister (google Justin Trudeau if you’ve yet to see him). We approve.

In the past few years, Croatia has become the place to go during the summer. Not only does it have some gorgeous beaches, cities and towns; it’s also host to a number of huge festivals including Outlook, Dimensions, Soundwave and Hideout that are held throughout the summer. It’s also pretty cheap to get there & live whilst you’re there. What’s not to love?

Seeing the Northern Lights has to be on nearly everyone’s bucket list; who wouldn’t want to see that?! Why not tick it off this year and visit the country home to the Aurora Borealis. Not only home to the lights, Iceland also offers some seriously impressive scenery, lakes, hot springs and glaciers. Plus, visiting the Blue Lagoon looks seriously dreamy.

Listed on Lonely Planet’s top travel destinations; Portugal is the place everyone wants to go this summer. With beautiful old cities, golden beaches and crystal blue sea, it’s definitely top of our list. Lisbon in particular has a thriving night scene so perfect if you want to combine relaxing and sightseeing with clubbing.

We’re all about the staycation, why go abroad when there’s loads to see here? Scotland is hot property this year and we can see why. With mountains, hills, lakes and some seriously gorge countryside, it’s oh so insta-worthy. There’s also heaps of history in the old cities and towns; not to mention some great pubs, bars and restaurants. We can’t wait to get exploring.
